چکیده
As one of the first experimentally found and naturally stable two-dimensional (2D) ferromagnetic materials, monolayer Cr 2 Ge Te 6 has garnered great interest due to its potential hires in electronics spintronics. Yet, Curie temperature is lower than ambient temperature, severely restricting creation valuable devices. Using first-principle calculations, we explored how adsorption 3 d transition metals affects electronic magnetic properties (from Sc Zn). Our findings indicate that depending on be adsorbed, system may adjusted from semiconductor metal/half-metal. We Ti Fe leads a transformation metal. While @Sc, V, Co, Ni, Cu, absorption realizes changes half Moreover, modify moment adsorbed enhance stability . Furthermore, are able modulate half-metallic @Mn by means electric fields. Hence, viable method for modulating 2D ferromagnets, paving door future development nano-electronic spintronic devices with enhanced performance materials.

The origin of half-metallicity in conjugated electron systems--a study on transition-metal-doped graphyne.
We studied the mechanism of half-metallicity (HM) formation in transition-metal-doped conjugated carbon based structures by first-principles electronic structure simulations. It is found that the HM is a rather complex phenomenon, determined by the ligand field splitting of d-orbitals of the transition metal atoms, the exchange splitting and the number of valence electrons. Since most of the co...
متن کاملHalf metal in two-dimensional hexagonal organometallic framework
Two-dimensional (2D) hexagonal organometallic framework (HOMF) made of triphenyl-metal molecules bridged by metal atoms has been recently shown to exhibit exotic electronic properties, such as half-metallic and topological insulating states. Here, using first-principles calculations, we investigate systematically the structural, electronic, and magnetic properties of such HOMFs containing 3d tr...
متن کاملTwo-dimensional transition metal dichalcogenide (TMD) nanosheets.
This special issue is about two-dimensional transitionmetal dichalcogenides (2DTMDs), a family of materials consisting of over 40 compounds with the generalized formula of MX2, where M is a transition metal typically from groups 4–7, and X is a chalcogen such as S, Se or Te. Bulk TMDs have been widely studied over several decades because it is possible to formulate compounds with disparate elec...
متن کاملMetal-Free Half-Metallicity in B-Doped gh-C3N4 Systems
Half-metallicity rising from the s/p electrons has been one of the hot topics in spintronics. Based on the first-principles of calculation, we explore the magnetic properties of the B-doped graphitic heptazine carbon nitride (gh-C3N4) system. Ferromagnetism is observed in the B-doped gh-C3N4 system. Interestingly, its ground state phase (BC1@gh-C3N4) presents a strong half-metal property. Furth...
متن کاملEvidencing the existence of exciting half-metallicity in two-dimensional TiCl3 and VCl3 sheets
Half-metallicity combined with wide half-metallic gap, unique ferromagnetic character and high Curie temperature has become a key driving force to develop next-generation spintronic devices. In previous studies, such half-metallicity always occurred under certain manipulation. Here, we, via examining a series of two-dimensional transition-metal trichlorides, evidenced that TiCl3 and VCl3 sheets...
